I kind of cried a little bit when we were talking about past family circumstances in my photo class. And I was kind of really embarrassed.

Life in color
When I get nervous, my hands get clammy so any time I do anything where craft is being evaluated, I put on the rubbers. Rubber gloves, at least. Just wrapping up a painstaking project on values in a continuous black and white spectrum. I’m not sure if my eye is “trained,” or at least to the accuracy the professors expect.

Things are starting to pick up in classes. They tell us it’s to train our eyes but I see it as more of a right of passage. All the upperclassmen had to do it. Hours and hours spent painting gray swatches. I think I’m starting to see it.
